A delicious and comforting drink made with black tea, warm spices, and steamed milk.
Ingredients
- – 2 cups of water
- – 2 black tea bags
- – 1 cinnamon stick
- – 1-inch piece of fresh ginger (sliced)
- – 4 whole cloves
- – 4 cardamom pods (lightly crushed)
- – 1/4 teaspoon black peppercorns
- – 2 tablespoons of honey or sugar
- – 2 cups of milk
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the tea bags, cinnamon stick, ginger, cloves, cardamom pods, and black peppercorns to the boiling water.
- Reduce the heat and let the spices simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the honey or sugar until dissolved.
- Add the milk and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Once the chai latte is hot, remove it from the heat and strain it into mugs.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
