Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 onion (thinly sliced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (grated)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add sliced onions to the skillet and sauté until they turn translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add shredded cabbage and sliced bell pepper to the skillet, stirring constantly.
  5. Pour soy sauce over the vegetables and continue to cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender yet still crisp.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired, adjusting the seasoning to taste.
  7. Remove from heat and serve hot as a side dish or over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

Feel free to customize this stir fry with your favorite vegetables or protein sources such as tofu or tempeh.
For added flavor, you can sprinkle sesame seeds or chopped green onions on top before serving.
