- 3–4 Vidalia sweet onions (sliced into thick rounds)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tsp salt (to enhance flavor)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (for savory seasoning)
- 1/2 tsp oregano (for a touch of herb flavor)
- 1 cup Italian blend cheese, finely shredded (a mix of mozzarella, provolone, and parmesan)
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, finely shredded (for a sharp cheesy flavor)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, finely shredded (adds extra umami and saltiness)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the onions into thick rounds and place them in a 9×13 baking dish.
- Melt the butter and pour it over the onions. Season with salt, garlic powder, and oregano.
- Top the onions with Italian blend cheese, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
Notes

- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
