Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons ground sumac
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Toast Sesame Seeds: Place sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat. Toast until golden brown and fragrant, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a small mixing bowl, add dried thyme, ground sumac, toasted sesame seeds, and salt.
  3. Mix Thoroughly: Use a spoon or whisk to thoroughly combine all ingredients until evenly distributed.
  4. Store: Transfer the Zaatar spice blend to an airtight container for storage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
